Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite, allowing therapists to work directly with patients in a home care setting. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Empower Rehab Clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations, which include reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and documenting results to inform treatment plans.
• Collaborating with patients and their families to explain evaluation findings, develop tailored treatment plans, and set achievable goals.
• Implementing treatment protocols that are customized based on evaluation findings and ongoing assessments of patient progress.
• Documenting patient care activities accurately, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge evaluations.
• Consulting with other healthcare professionals to relay concerns about patients' conditions and modify care plans as needed.
• Managing time effectively to meet productivity expectations while maintaining a flexible schedule for patient needs.
• Participating in patient discharge planning and providing follow-up care recommendations.
• Engaging in community outreach to promote awareness of physical therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients of varying ages and backgrounds in need of rehabilitation services. This may include post-operative care, injury rehabilitation, and preventive care. Your role is pivotal in supporting patients as they navigate their recovery process and achieve their individual health goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• State licensure as required by the state of Virginia to practice physical therapy.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not a strict requirement, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or effective patient engagement in therapy settings will be highly regarded. Additionally, any experience working in a home care setting will be beneficial for candidate familiarity with the unique challenges of outpatient care.

Compensation and Benefits
