Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to accurately evaluate client symptoms concerning mood disorders, including severity, frequency, and duration.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client's personal goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic options, and essential self-care strategies to foster an empowered recovery process.

• Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress and feedback to improve therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to mental health care.

• Remain informed about the latest research and treatment methods related to mood disorders, incorporating new insights into practice.

• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes in alignment with legal standards.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities to foster the growth of clinical skills and optimize treatment practices.

• Act as a client advocate, promoting mental health awareness and breaking down the stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with mood disorders like depression and anxiety, many of whom may also be facing challenges related to interpersonal relationships and life transitions. Qualifications\n

• Must possess an active and valid California license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

• A master's degree in a related field such as Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work is required.

• Demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years) working with mood disorders, behavioral problems, and emotional disturbances.

• Strong understanding of California laws and ethical principles governing mental health practices.

• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• A recent TB test is required, completed within the past six months.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
