Position Overview

Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our onsite team in San Jose, California. This is a full-time position, with a primary focus on outpatient care, where you will have the opportunity to support patients in their journey toward improved mobility and enhanced quality of life. As a part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with other professionals to create tailored rehabilitation plans that meet the specific needs of our clients.

Our 5,000 square foot center is designed to foster recovery and physical health, equipped with the latest technologies for effective treatment. Serving a patient population primarily covered by private medical insurance, we focus on providing high-quality, individualized care. Our team comprises two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering exceptional service.

Work Environment

This position is based in our modern outpatient office located in San Jose, CA, designed to facilitate an optimal therapy experience. The work setting promotes teamwork and collaboration, allowing healthcare professionals to share knowledge and resources. Operating within a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, we offer a structured work environment that blends professionalism with a supportive culture aimed at continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting detailed assessments to determine patient needs and develop targeted care plans.
• Managing a caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused attention and therapy tailored to individual progress.
• Utilizing a variety of treatment and intervention techniques to enhance patient mobility and function.
• Educating and motivating patients throughout their rehab process, ensuring they are equipped to achieve their maximum functional abilities.
• Documenting patient care and therapy results thoroughly, to track progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and share insights on improving care strategies.
• Implementing fitness and wellness programs that address the unique requirements of each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals undergoing rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Patients commonly present with conditions such as sports-related injuries, post-operative knee or hip repairs, and chronic pain issues. Your role will be crucial in driving their recovery through personalized care approaches that emphasize functional improvements and quality of life enhancement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Proficient user of electronic medical records systems, particularly platforms like WebPT.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings will be given preference. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a commitment to ongoing education in physical therapy modalities will also strengthen your application.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
