This remote position allows you the flexibility to manage your schedule while working from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-home therapy sessions or leading group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on the individual needs of each client.
\n
• Implementing strategies for anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for youth and families.
\n
• Documenting and submitting all required paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, accurately and within designated time frames.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and suggest recommendations for enhancing service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years who face intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Our diverse client population presents a variety of challenges that require specialized care, compassion, and a commitment to understanding each child's unique needs. As a bilingual therapist, your language skills will greatly enhance communication and rapport with clients and families who prefer to speak Spanish or Portuguese.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A flexible availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with weekend availability being a plus.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client locations as necessary.
\n
• A clean criminal background and the ability to pass a fingerprinting check.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Although not mandatory, the following experience will enhance your candidacy:

• Proven experience providing positive behavior support for children and adolescents.

• A strong background working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
\n
• Previous experience in intensive therapeutic settings or community health clinics.

Compensation and Benefits\n
