Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and limitations as they recover from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, employing evidence-based methods such as therapeutic exercises, hands-on therapy, and modern rehabilitation equipment to optimize patient recovery.
• Continuously monitor and document patients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure therapeutic goals are met.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on techniques and exercises to promote recovery and empower them in their self-care.
• Recommend and fit assistive devices to enhance mobility and independence for patients when appropriate.
• Participate in professional development opportunities including workshops, training sessions, and conferences to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with orthopedic issues such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will work with a broad range of age groups, tailoring interventions that address each patient's unique needs and therapy goals. Your expertise will not only restore physical function but also enhance the overall mental and emotional well-being of your clients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferable.
• A valid and active state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic systems for tracking and documenting patient progress.
• Flexibility and adaptability in managing a varied caseload and dynamic work settings, as well as a commitment to professional growth.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not required, candidates with experience in orthopedic physical therapy, especially in an outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation setting, will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits
