Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and concerns of children and adolescents, utilizing observational techniques and structured interviewing.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to effectively address a variety of mental health challenges, tailoring approaches based on each individual's needs.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, providing guidance and strategies to help parents and caregivers support their child's emotional health in a nurturing environment.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and comprehensive approach to treatment.

• Be equipped to provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, offering timely assistance to children and adolescents in need.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local resources to enhance their understanding and ability to cope.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in adherence with ethical and legal standards, ensuring proper records of each patient’s progress and treatment.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations, as well as participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay informed about advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will focus on providing mental health services to a diverse patient population, primarily children and adolescents dealing with mental health disorders. This includes those coping with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your approach will involve not only working with the young individuals but also engaging their families, empowering them to play an active role in the therapeutic process and supporting their child's journey towards improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of an active and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or similar is essential.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Robust understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Experience providing individualized and family therapy tailored to young clients' needs.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on compassion and engaging a child-centered approach.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

Previous work with child psychiatry settings and specific experience with various mental health conditions in young populations will be considered a significant advantage. Additionally, familiarity with current evidence-based practices and successful therapeutic interventions in outpatient settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
