Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical status upon admission to determine their rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize various therapeutic modalities including exercise routines, manual therapy techniques, and the use of assistive devices to facilitate mobility and alleviate pain.
• Regularly document patient progress, treatment reactions, and outcomes in a meticulous manner, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Reassess and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring alignment with patients' changing needs and rehabilitation progress.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on best practices for recovery, including the proper use of assistive devices and exercises that can be performed at home.
• Participate in professional development by attending workshops, contributing to team training sessions, and keeping abreast of advancements in physical therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in aiding both pediatric and adult patients, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the unique challenges faced by each demographic. You will collaborate closely with caregivers and family members to ensure comprehensive care and support, optimizing patient outcomes and enhancing their functional independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in clinical documentation systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating autonomy in patient care management.
• A thorough understanding of rehabilitation best practices, alongside a commitment to ongoing education.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitative setting is required.
• Experience in home care and with diverse patient populations is an advantage.
• Current CPR certification is necessary.
• While a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience will be considered.
