Work Environment\n

This position operates within a remote setup, allowing you the flexibility to provide care from a location of your choice, while still being integrated with a cohesive multidisciplinary team. Your work hours will typically be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for some flexibility based on patient needs. We emphasize work-life balance and provide the necessary technological support to facilitate effective virtual therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to determine patients' trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized and culturally sensitive treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing their trauma experiences and acquiring effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with a diverse team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring timely and compassionate assistance for patients in acute distress.
\n
• Guide patients and their families through education on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to empower their recovery process.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of patient interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continual professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with patients who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a mental health counselor, your role will involve establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship that enables patients to explore their traumas in a safe environment, ultimately guiding them towards recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably with a focus on trauma-related issues and interventions.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles, trauma-related disorders, and resilience-building approaches.

• Demonstrated experience in the application of trauma-focused therapeutic modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills that foster a nurturing therapeutic environment.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Ability to function effectively within a team-oriented and multidisciplinary work setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
