Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and establish baseline mental health statuses.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping patients with essential coping strategies and techniques to process their trauma.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals and support staff to guarantee comprehensive care for patients, ensuring every aspect of their mental health is addressed.

• Respond effectively to crises involving trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate intervention to stabilize patients.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available coping mechanisms, and community resources to foster understanding and support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards regarding patient care and progress.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss treatment plans and progress, staying aligned with best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals who are dealing with issues arising from traumatic experiences, predominantly including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work empathetically with each patient, recognizing their unique stories and challenges and celebrating their progress toward healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience post-licensure, demonstrating a specialty in trauma-focused therapies.
\n
• Strong comprehension of trauma-related disorders and a variety of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.
\n
• Capability to remain poised and professional in high-stress situations, providing a calm demeanor for patients in distress.
\n
• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, capable of working as part of a diverse team of professionals dedicated to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of clinical experience specifically in trauma-informed therapy or similar settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
