Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment strategies catered to their unique needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building, utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet each patient’s needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process traumatic experiences, establish effective coping mechanisms, and enhance their healing journey.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel secure and supported during challenging times.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, empowering them with valuable information and resources.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress, in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops focusing on best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Remain current with the latest research and therapeutic techniques in the field of trauma therapy, continuously enhancing your skill set.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with a variety of patients, each with unique backgrounds and needs, enabling you to apply your expertise in a meaningful way that can transform their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW in New York State.

• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, allowing for empathetic patient interactions.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications for documentation and data management.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working specifically with trauma-focused therapies. Familiarity with treatment modalities such as EMDR and TF-CBT is a definite plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
