Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain a deep understanding of each patient's trauma history and unique needs.

• Utilize your expertise to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and resilience.

• Deliver evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient's specific situation.

• Organize and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for patients, discussing treatment progress, challenges, and adjustments in approach when necessary.

• Provide timely and effective crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support to clients in need.

• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources to promote understanding and empowerment.

• Ensure all patient documentation is accurate, confidential, and compliant with legal and ethical regulations, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate in case consultations, team-oriented meetings, and professional development workshops focused on advancing trauma-informed care techniques.

• Stay updated on the latest research, clinical trials, and emerging best practices within the field of trauma therapy to continually enhance your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily consists of individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to those with PTSD, complex trauma backgrounds, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist, you will be instrumental in guiding these patients through their recovery journeys, providing them with the support, knowledge, and therapeutic interventions necessary to foster healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting, particularly focusing on trauma.

Compensation and Benefits\n
