Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, which is equipped with the latest tools and technologies to support effective therapy practices. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, creating an integrated and supportive environment for both patients and practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical conditions to establish baseline capabilities and set measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, improving strength, and promoting overall wellness.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, traction, and additional modalities to address specific patient needs.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the proper execution of therapy services, including training, supervision, and ongoing evaluation.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting changes, and modifying treatment strategies as required, while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans, updates, and adjustments to cater to evolving patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and the importance of adherence to therapy protocols, ensuring comprehensive understanding for optimal outcomes.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy for intra- and inter-disciplinary communication.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse patient populations recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical procedures, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient has unique needs and rehabilitation goals, requiring customized approaches that you will facilitate through one-on-one sessions and progress evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Proven ability to develop effective rehabilitation programs and demonstrate mastery in a variety of manual therapy techniques.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail-oriented clinical documentation.
• Competency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT, to streamline workflow and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with assessing and fitting orthotic devices to improve patient mobility.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants effectively.
• Current knowledge of evidence-based practices and continuing education in innovative therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
