PhysioSpace LLC is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team at our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Reston, Virginia. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work on-site at our outpatient office, engaging with a close-knit team of rehabilitation professionals including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and care aides. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance while providing ample opportunity to focus on patient care. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment to facilitate comprehensive treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of residents' physical abilities, assessing their mobility, strength, and functional capabilities to develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans aimed at addressing pain management, enhancing mobility, and preventing falls among seniors.
• Administer diverse therapeutic interventions including manual therapy techniques, tailored exercise regimens, and balance training exercises specific to each patient’s needs.
• Evaluate and recommend the appropriate use of assistive devices and mobility aids to empower residents in their daily life and promote independence.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and additional care providers to ensure a seamless continuum of care, promoting the highest standards of rehabilitation practice.
• Provide education to residents and their families regarding home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety precautions to foster self-management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to comply with Skilled Nursing Facility regulations and standards, ensuring excellent record-keeping practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on the geriatric population residing in our facility, many of whom may be facing chronic conditions and mobility challenges. Physical Therapists at PhysioSpace LLC play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for these residents, aiming to restore their strength and functionality so they can participate fully in their daily activities and engage more meaningfully with their families and communities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations and specific rehabilitative needs for older adults is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
