Work Environment

This position is purely onsite, where you will deliver care in the clients' homes within the Goldenrod area and its surroundings. Working in this environment allows you to create personalized treatment plans that address the patient's specific needs and home dynamics, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance. Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy services addressing patient needs, including pain relief and restoration of muscle function.
• Implement and manage customized treatment plans to align with physician guidelines, ensuring continuity of care.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring they provide the highest standard of care as per the plan.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional levels using diagnostic tests tailored to muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities.
• Assess the home environment for rehabilitation purposes and provide recommendations to enhance patient independence.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises and educate clients on non-manual exercises and their proper execution.
• Utilize physical agents including traction and massage within treatment plans to maximize patient outcomes.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications as needed to assist the patient's recovery.
• Document all evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries meticulously to maintain accurate clinical records.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to participate in case conferences and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide instruction to clients and their families on physical therapy equipment and care routines.
• Maintain timely communication, submitting clinical and payroll documentation as per company policies.
• Complete on-site assessments and revise care plans as needed based on patient progress and emerging needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adult and elderly patients who require rehabilitation after surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Our clients benefit from a high-touch approach to care, designed to optimize their recovery and ensure they can live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active and unblemished Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, demonstrating compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.
• Extensive expertise in diverse manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to design successful rehabilitation exercise programs.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, to ensure precise and timely documentation.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy interventions and methodologies based on contemporary research findings.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health settings is highly desirable, as it familiarizes you with the unique challenges of in-home rehabilitation.
• Skills in interdisciplinary teamwork and effective communication with various healthcare professionals will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an annual salary range of $100,000 to $120,000, along with a competitive benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefits with affordable premiums.
