Work Environment

This position will be conducted in a fully remote setting, enabling our counselors to provide services from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, utilizing diagnostic tools and individualized approaches tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Provide targeted one-on-one counseling sessions designed to address and manage various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster progress and recovery.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, including support and psychoeducational groups, to address shared challenges and promote communal healing among clients.
• Design and execute personalized treatment plans that set measurable goals and interventions, adjusting these plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations by providing immediate, empathetic support, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating with emergency resources as necessary to ensure client safety.
• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health by participating in continuing education, webinars, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to develop a holistic approach to client care and to ensure comprehensive treatment across disciplines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues. The diverse client population reflects the community in Hialeah, Florida. Being culturally sensitive and adaptable in communication styles will be critical in providing effective support and establishing rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida is required.
• Completion of at least three years of supervised clinical experience, demonstrating a robust foundation in counseling practices.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in line with the latest research and updates in the mental health field.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary for establishing strong therapeutic relationships and conducting thorough evaluations.
• Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation, with a focus on maintaining accurate and confidential client information.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth counseling or familiarity with digital therapy tools is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
