Work Environment

This position is set in a home care context, allowing for flexibility in schedules while providing the opportunity to deliver tailored therapeutic interventions directly to patients in their residences. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, optimizing both patient care and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Rethink Counseling Center, you will:

• Perform assessments on assigned patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish individual treatment goals.
• Design and implement customized treatment programs that promote healing and restore function and mobility.
• Utilize advanced rehabilitation techniques and modalities, responding to patient progress and adapting treatments as necessary.
• Document patient progress in compliance with the New Jersey State Practice Act and APTA's Code of Ethics, ensuring all patient records are accurate and detailed.
• Develop and maintain communication with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate treatment plans effectively.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development activities to stay abreast of new therapeutic trends and practices.
• Engage in other duties as requested to contribute to the overall success of our practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients. You will implement assessments and treatments tailored to each age group's specific needs and conditions. Your expertise in orthopedic physical rehabilitation will be vital in helping patients recover from surgeries, injuries, and conditions that affect mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years' experience in physical therapy, particularly within a home care or outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and collaboratives within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in specialized treatment modalities or previous experience in orthopedic rehabilitation will be prioritized. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and telehealth platforms is also advantageous in enhancing patient care delivery.
