Work Environment

The position is based at our outpatient office, designed to offer a welcoming and efficient atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will be working onsite, engaging with an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative spirit focused on delivering high-quality care. The operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a structured work-life balance while being dedicated to your professional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients presenting with various orthopedic conditions, developing individualized treatment plans that address their functional limitations and rehabilitation goals.

• Adhere to state practice acts and legal regulations governing physical therapy practice, ensuring ethical and responsible service delivery.

• Perform assessment services, analyzing patient history, conducting specific physical assessments, and documenting findings to formulate effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement treatment protocols tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing both innovative and traditional therapeutic techniques grounded in the latest research.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary, recognizing and documenting any changes in a patient's condition that may necessitate adjustments in the care plan.

• Ensure comprehensive discharge planning and follow-up care, maintaining timely and accurate documentation of each patient interaction to support quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and education, participating in team meetings, rounds, and in-services that aim to enhance our collective skill sets and service outreach.

• Actively participate in initiatives that aim to remove barriers to patient access, driving improvement based on client satisfaction and outcome data metrics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population experiencing a range of orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and age-related mobility issues. Your role in guiding these patients through personalized rehabilitation programs will be crucial in helping them regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program is required.

• Candidates must possess a valid physical therapy license in New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related physical therapy role is required, particularly in orthopedic settings.

• Current CPR certification is essential, ensuring readiness for any emergency situations.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to forge rapport with patients quickly is imperative in fostering a positive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
