Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote working arrangement, allowing flexibility while adhering to the needs of the school environment and its students. Your daily responsibilities will include facilitating therapy sessions, utilizing telehealth technology, and collaborating closely with educational stakeholders to enhance student outcomes in mental health. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing major mental health issues or severe emotional disorders, either through telehealth platforms or in-person, as necessary.

• Participate actively in a multidisciplinary team to foster a holistic approach towards student welfare and mental health services.

• Conduct initial screenings and assessments to determine students’ needs, tailoring treatment plans accordingly and ensuring adherence to clinical standards.

• Develop, implement, and monitor integrated care plans in coordination with teachers, parents, and other mental health service providers.

• Deliver a range of focused preventative, treatment, and recovery interventions that comply with best practices and encourage client empowerment.

• Assist during crisis situations by providing immediate support and interventions to students when necessary.
\n
• Manage a caseload of students, maintaining accurate and timely documentation on client progress, treatment plans, and meeting prescribed timelines for reporting.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote social skills and emotional well-being among peers, fostering resilience in the school environment.

• Participate in ongoing training and supervision to refine skills and stay current with developments in the field of social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily serve school-aged children and adolescents who show symptoms related to major mental illnesses, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and trauma-related stress. This role requires a cultural sensitivity and the capacity to engage with students and families from various backgrounds, ensuring that services are respectful and relevant to their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license to practice as a clinical social worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
