Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to children between the ages of 3-20, ensuring that therapeutic approaches are personalized and effective.

• Deliver hands-on support to families by providing in-home therapy sessions, assisting caregivers in managing complex behavioral challenges.
\n
• Facilitate skills development in areas such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills to diminish high-risk behaviors including self-injurious behavior (SIB) or aggression.

• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other allied professionals to create cohesive treatment plans, ensuring all parties are aligned in their therapeutic goals and approaches.

• Document all client interactions and progress meticulously, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, where you will contribute insights and recommendations to improve service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly serves children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, providing a critical service to a diverse demographic. You will work with children displaying a wide range of needs, from mild developmental challenges to more complex intellectual disabilities, ensuring that each child's unique experiences and family dynamics are acknowledged and addressed in therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Colorado.

• Strong background in providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.

• Experience working directly with children and adolescents, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are necessary for travel to home settings for therapy sessions.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory to ensure the safety of our clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, as we serve a bilingual community.

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic practices and familiarity with various treatment modalities specific to children with developmental disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
