Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge clients' mental health and emotional well-being, establishing a foundation for effective treatment.
• Develop customized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each client, integrating their input into the therapeutic process.
• Facilitate individual and couples therapy sessions, employing techniques that promote open communication, conflict resolution, and relational dynamics.
• Monitor clients’ progress through regular evaluations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and circumstances.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure a clear understanding of each client's journey.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care tailored to clients’ needs.
• Be prepared to intervene in crisis situations, offering immediate support to clients experiencing acute distress.
• Stay informed on the latest developments and best practices in the field of marriage and family therapy through continuous education and professional development.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and legal standards, advocating for clients’ rights and ensuring their well-being within the therapeutic process.
• Prioritize self-care and wellness, recognizing the importance of maintaining your own emotional resilience as a caregiver.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the privilege of working with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and age groups. The spectrum of mental health issues may range from anxiety and depression to relationship conflicts and life transitions, allowing you to apply a broad range of skills and techniques to support your clients effectively.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• An active and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas is essential.
• Strong experience in providing individual or couples therapy is preferred.
• Ability to complete client assessments and document progress notes efficiently.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with a proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in working with a variety of populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, is highly desirable.
• Previous work in telehealth settings is a plus, demonstrating the ability to effectively deliver therapy via remote platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
