Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will play a crucial role in the mental health journey of every client you serve. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Counseling clients individually through video chat sessions to improve their mental health and emotional resilience.
• Fostering an environment that encourages open discussion about emotions and life experiences, helping clients gain insights into themselves and their relationships.
• Advocating for clients by assisting them in defining clear and achievable therapeutic goals.
• Assessing clients’ mental health conditions and collaboratively developing and implementing tailored treatment plans grounded in your expertise and knowledge.
• Utilizing a solution-based approach to enhance clients’ coping strategies and therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintaining thorough yet concise records of sessions while minimizing paperwork to allow more time for client interaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients primarily consist of stable adults who are seeking support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. As a therapist, you will be part of a system that provides a safe and structured environment for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions at a low acuity level, ensuring a respectful and effective therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Active and unrestricted licensing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) issued by a state board. Limited or provisional licenses will not be accepted.
• Strong ability to conduct professional evaluations, formulate insightful treatment plans, and make informed recommendations for further treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, showcasing a sympathetic and empathetic nature that can instill trust and relate to clients effectively.
• Proficiency with technology to facilitate virtual therapy sessions and manage digital platforms for client records and scheduling.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in providing counseling services, particularly in a remote capacity. Experience working with a diverse clientele and familiarity with solution-focused therapeutic techniques will be considered beneficial.
