Work Environment

Located in the charming community of Cypress, Florida, our outpatient clinic is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient space for both patients and staff. The position involves a standard 40-hour workweek with variable weekend hours, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while meeting patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Parkview, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations to identify patients' functional limitations and disabilities.
• Developing, implementing, and regularly updating individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and progress.
• Providing expert consultation to other healthcare providers regarding the continuum of care for each patient.
• Maintaining adherence to customer service standards and interacting respectfully with all patients regardless of age or cultural background.
• Documenting each patient's treatment process accurately in both written and electronic formats to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
• Engaging with the interdisciplinary treatment team, physicians, and referral sources to discuss patient care strategies and updates.
• Participating in leadership functions within the clinic, including community outreach, continuous quality improvement initiatives, cost containment strategies, and staff training.
• Supervising assigned support staff to ensure efficient operation and quality patient care.
• Attending regular staff meetings and maintaining ongoing professional development through education and training programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will be focused on a diverse patient population, primarily those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions impacting their mobility. You will work closely with patients and their families throughout the treatment and discharge planning process, ensuring clear communication and support are provided at every step.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in word processing and other computer applications necessary for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and an understanding of documentation standards will be beneficial.
