Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and conduct physical therapy programs to alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disability for patients based on their individual care plans.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering appropriate treatments as per the established plan of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities by performing diagnostic tests that assess muscle and joint function.
• Assess patients' home environments and make recommendations to optimize their rehabilitation process.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and assist patients with mobility and recovery techniques.
• Utilize modalities such as traction, massage, and heat treatments as part of therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify orthotic and prosthetic devices in collaboration with physicians.
• Document patient progress through accurate record-keeping, including evaluations and treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and goals.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical and documentation standards as per healthcare regulations.
• Stay informed on best practices in physical therapy and contribute to ongoing process improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Stretch Synaptic Therapy Services, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals. The outpatient clinic serves patients recovering from surgeries, chronic pain, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your influence will directly aid patients in improving their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life, contributing significantly to their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• CPR certification maintained in accordance with industry standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• A positive, collaborative attitude with a strong commitment to patient care excellence.
• Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and clinical staff.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in treating complex orthopedic cases and neurological conditions.
