Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients including detailed history reviews and specific physical assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with patients and their families during goal-setting, explaining evaluation findings and treatment objectives clearly to encourage their active participation.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's unique presentation and progress, adapting strategies in response to changes in their condition.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations when necessary, documenting critical changes to a patient's status and proposing modifications to their care plan accordingly.
• Manage comprehensive discharge planning, ensuring that patients leave with clear follow-up instructions and continued support for their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain precise documentation of patient care activities in adherence to evolving healthcare regulations, including initial evaluations, ongoing progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills to meet established productivity standards and respect punctuality for meetings and scheduled appointments.
• Participate in hospital and community marketing initiatives to promote rehabilitation services and contribute to departmental goals.
• Diligently pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance professional competencies and support team advancement.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for students, fostering their learning experience through hands-on guidance and mentorship.
• Advocate for patient access to care, participating in organizational initiatives aimed at improving service delivery through innovative strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Fairview Rehabilitation Center, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our goal is to help patients regain function, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life through personalized rehabilitation programs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid physical therapy license for the state of Florida.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, compassion, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
