Work Environment\n

The Mental Health Therapist position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in managing your schedule while ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. However, you will also participate in some face-to-face interactions within our outpatient office in Macon, Georgia. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and goal attainment for each patient.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, learn effective coping skills, and promote holistic healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and appropriate responses.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping strategies, equipping them with tools for recovery.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track progress and treatment outcomes.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care approaches.

• Stay informed on the latest research and innovative practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

This role primarily focuses on individuals suffering from various trauma-related conditions. Our ideal patients are those navigating the complexities of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By addressing their mental health needs with a trauma-informed approach, you will facilitate their healing journeys and assist them in developing resilience to face their circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards patients.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress scenarios and effectively manage crisis interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally working in trauma-informed settings.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
