Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate and diagnose patients’ mental health conditions.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing traumatic experiences and developing coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients in trauma-related distress, ensuring safety and stability.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, develop coping mechanisms, and guide them to relevant community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy through ongoing education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals overcoming the repercussions of trauma. This may include children, adults, and families who are experiencing the effects of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will guide their healing journey and empower them to reclaim their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and techniques.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor.
\n
• A calm and composed presence in high-stress environments, able to connect with clients sensitively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in trauma-focused therapy preferred.

• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused interventions and therapies.
\n
• Familiarity with culturally competent care practices that respect and accommodate diverse backgrounds.
