Work Environment

This role will take place predominantly in the homes of patients across the Township of Washington and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function in patients with orthopedic conditions, in line with individualized care plans.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective implementation of treatment plans.
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities through diagnostic assessments and functional tests, tailoring therapy approaches to meet their specific needs.
• Assess the home environment to make recommendations that promote independence and safety for the patient.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services in patients' homes, collaborating with physicians to align treatment with medical goals.
• Administer manual therapy techniques and provide instruction in exercise regimens, motivating patients to engage in their recovery actively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position specifically focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions such as arthritis. You will be working closely with individuals of all ages who require tailored rehabilitation plans designed to enhance their physical capabilities and overall well-being. Your role will significantly impact their recovery process, with a focus on improving mobility, strength, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the state of New Jersey by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A current CPR certification, ensuring readiness for any emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, preferably in a home care setting.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
