This role is conducted remotely, allowing flexibility and a supportive work-life balance. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Engaging in individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client on your caseload.

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments and developing person-centered treatment plans to address varied mental health concerns.

• Collaborating with inter-agency program providers to ensure comprehensive care and resource accessibility for clients.
\n
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring all records are submitted within 48 hours of service delivery.
\n
• Providing emergency support according to the after-hours on-call schedule, assisting clients during critical moments.
\n
• Preparing discharge summaries that highlight client progress and ongoing challenges.
\n
• Attending scheduled programmatic meetings, including clinical supervision and staff meetings, to enhance professional development and team cohesion.
\n
• Referring clients to appropriate external resources while keeping referral sources informed about client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload will encompass a diverse range of clients, including individuals grappling with issues such as substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

• A valid license in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

• A Master's degree in a human services-related field is required.

• Proficiency or willingness to learn about electronic medical record (EMR) systems for effective documentation and client management.
