Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation center located in Manassas, Virginia, providing a supportive environment for both therapists and patients. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, either from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Our facilities are equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment, conducive to delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to ascertain their physical therapy needs, considering medical history and rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to establish individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic methodologies, including exercises, manual therapy, and the use of rehabilitation equipment.
• Implement treatment sessions, modifying interventions based on patient performance and progress, to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and any necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Regularly reassess patients to redefine therapeutic goals and adapt treatment strategies, ensuring continued alignment with patient recovery trajectories.
• Advise patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and provide education on self-management techniques.
• Collaborate closely with other health professionals, sharing insights to enhance overall patient care.
• Stay current with the latest industry practices and guidelines through continuing education opportunities and professional workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our rehabilitation center, you will work primarily with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from pediatric to geriatric populations, allowing you to apply your skills across various age groups and physical challenges. Your role is pivotal in helping patients regain their functional abilities and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to patient care and therapy delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient setting is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues.
