Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Inner Refuge Healthcare Services, you'll be entrusted with a variety of vital tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to accurately identify client needs and developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
\n
• Providing therapy across multiple modalities—individual, family, or group therapy—tailored to the specific circumstances of each client.
\n
• Preparing detailed discharge summaries and maintaining robust clinical documentation within 48 hours after each session to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Coordinating care with inter-agency program providers, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health treatment.
\n
• Offering emergency support as needed, following the on-call schedule for urgent client concerns.
\n
• Attending and actively participating in programmatic meetings and clinical supervision to constantly enhance therapeutic skills and client care processes.
\n
• Making timely referrals and collaborating effectively with referral sources to track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Engaging with clients experiencing a range of issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, and substance abuse.
\n
• Minimizing administrative burdens to focus on delivering quality therapy through streamlined EMR systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload will consist of adults, adolescents, or a mixture of both, allowing for a rich and rewarding therapeutic experience. You will interact with clients facing various challenges, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need in their journeys towards mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• A valid mental health counseling license in the District of Columbia (LPC, LMFT, or LICSW).

• A Master's Degree in a relevant human services field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.

• Familiarity or willingness to gain proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience\n
