Living Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Primary Care team located in the scenic Oyster Bay, New York. Work Environment

The Physician Assistant position is onsite, allowing you to engage directly with patients in a face-to-face setting, fostering valuable relationships integral to their health journey. This role is structured around a standard 40-hour work week, spanning Monday through Friday, with workdays concluding by 5:00 pm. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patients' health status, reviewing their medical history and current complaints.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies to aid in the diagnosis of health conditions.
• Diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic illnesses, implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Prescribe medications, maintaining compliance with medical guidelines and regulations, and ensure patients understand their treatment plans.
• Maintain meticulous medical records and schedules to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Oversee and monitor the overall health of patients, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on their progress.
• Engage in continuous professional development by advancing your knowledge and clinical expertise through ongoing education and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in New York is mandatory.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid DEA number are essential.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in a clinical setting, ideally with a strong focus on primary care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Exceptional communication skills and a high degree of professionalism are crucial for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, complemented by a positive attitude.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Living Memorial Hospital offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 – 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
