Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at CareSync Healthcare Solutions, you will work onsite at our hospital facility in Mineola. You will experience a vibrant work culture that harnesses teamwork and open communication among all levels of staff, encouraging collaboration across disciplines. The facility fosters a learning environment where you can continuously update your clinical skills and knowledge. You will typically work Monday to Friday, with 40-hour workweeks starting at 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and accurately assess patient health by reviewing medical histories and records.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnose and treat a wide variety of health conditions, including both acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for both chronic and infectious diseases, ensuring they are tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring their effects and adjusting dosages as necessary based on patient responses.
• Maintain organized and precise patient records, schedules, and documentation to comply with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, emerging epidemiological trends, and preventive measures to empower them in their health management.
• Oversee and promote the overall health and well-being of patients, including preventive health measures and lifestyle modifications.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in medical science and technology through ongoing research, training, and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on a diverse range of patients spanning various age groups with varying healthcare needs. At CareSync, we emphasize addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of health, ensuring a comprehensive approach to medication management and chronic disease treatment. This includes working with patients from different backgrounds and nurturing relationships that improve patient engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies required.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in a family health clinic or similar medical environment.
• Specialization in family medicine or experience in primary care settings is highly desired.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards to ensure compliance in patient care activities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and demonstrated advocacy for patients' health needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience.
