This role offers flexibility through a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with patients via teletherapy platforms. Your work hours will typically fall from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our patients. As part of our community health clinic, you will access a wide array of resources, engage in team meetings, and participate in case consultations to foster a culture of learning and support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents in your care.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage and family context.

• Conduct family therapy sessions aimed at fostering effective communication and support among parents and caregivers.

• Provide crisis intervention services for adolescents experiencing urgent mental health challenges.

• Educate families on mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community support resources.

• Maintain meticulous records in accordance with ethical standards, legislation, and organizational protocols to ensure confidentiality and compliance.

• Engage actively in team meetings, participate in professional development sessions, and share knowledge on current research and practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing mental health challenges alongside their families. The therapeutic work will require a deep understanding of developmental stages, behavioral patterns, and the psychosocial factors that may influence a child’s emotional well-being. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health services is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidenced by familiarity with effective treatment methodologies.

• Experience delivering both individual and family therapy, showcasing your ability to engage effectively with younger populations.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• A proven capability to build rapport and establish trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to maintain comprehensive documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
