This position allows you to enjoy a flexible work setting, primarily remote, while still being a vital member of the Grady Counseling Services’ team. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to meet the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and execute tailored treatment plans that consider each child's developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidenced-based therapeutic modalities to deliver effective interventions to young patients facing various mental health challenges.

• Lead family therapy sessions designed to support caregivers in cultivating nurturing environments conducive to their child's healing.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure integrated and holistic treatment approaches.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations involving children and adolescents, maintaining a calm and structured response.

• Educate families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines using electronic health record systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents grappling with mental health disorders, including a broad spectrum ranging from anxiety and depression to ADHD and other behavioral issues. You will cultivate therapeutic relationships with young clients and their families, creating supportive spaces that encourage open dialogue and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Demonstrable commitment to understanding child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective therapeutic methodologies.

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a deep understanding of a child-centered approach to therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience, with direct exposure to individual and family therapy for young populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
