Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients, enabling tailored treatment plans to be developed.
• Provide direct counseling services, utilizing short-term therapeutic interventions and crisis management techniques for individuals in distress.
• Design and facilitate virtual therapy groups and workshops that address prevalent issues among clients, such as stress management, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with educational staff and community organizations to enhance client support and outreach initiatives.
• Participate in mental health awareness campaigns, developing educational materials and leading digital wellness events to promote community engagement.
• Ensure diligent record-keeping that adheres to HIPAA and ethical guidelines, providing consistent documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will primarily consist of students and young adults facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, academic stress, and life transitions. By understanding the unique challenges that this demographic faces, you will create a safe space for clients to express themselves and work towards their personal and academic goals.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline is required.
• A solid foundation in understanding the mental health landscape as it pertains to college students or young adults, demonstrating empathy and insight into their unique experiences.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
