Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic evaluations, and generate treatment recommendations for the primary care provider based on patient needs.

• Provide brief, focused interventions for patients requiring mental health support, employing evidence-based practices to guide therapeutic sessions.

• Collaborate closely with primary care providers to identify which patients can be effectively treated within the primary care setting and which require referral to specialized mental health facilities.

• Regularly monitor patient progress and follow up to ensure treatment approaches remain effective and adaptive to any changing needs.
\n
• Develop relapse prevention plans tailored to individual patient circumstances, fostering stable mental health and overall patient functioning.
\n
• Detect at-risk patients and create intervention plans to prevent deterioration of their mental health conditions.
\n
• Document patient progress meticulously within treatment charts, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping for accountability and continuity of care.

• Engage in consultations with clinic management and fellow team members to evaluate and enhance behavioral health services and program effectiveness.

• Facilitate education for patients, equipping them with self-management skills and information necessary for active participation in their recovery journey.

• Adhere to the highest ethical standards outlined in the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals and families managing mental health issues, from children to adults. Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.

• Understanding of developmental psychopathology and systems related to family and group therapy.

• Thorough grasp of DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapies.

• Proficiency in maintaining clinical records and preparing comprehensive reports.

Preferred Experience\n

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, though not mandatory, is considered a valuable asset.

• Prior experience in a community health setting, particularly within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), is preferable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
