Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and establish individualized treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience strategies tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address patients' trauma-related challenges effectively.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to provide clients with tools to process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster healing within a supportive environment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to offer comprehensive care that addresses both immediate and long-term mental health goals.
• Provide crisis intervention for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and safety.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies while guiding them to available community resources for additional support.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient interactions are accurately recorded.
• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to enhance the quality of care through shared insights and continued education in trauma-informed approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, emphasizing those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. A compassionate, non-judgmental approach is essential in building trust and rapport with clients, many of whom may be in vulnerable states. Your role will significantly impact their healing journeys and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Arizona.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and resilience-building practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication and a warm, compassionate presence in therapy settings.
• The ability to remain composed under stress and respond adeptly to crisis situations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
