Position Overview

Spring Mountain Counseling Services is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role is primarily remote, allowing you to provide essential mental health care to individuals navigating the complexities of trauma from the comfort of your home, while also collaborating with our outpatient office based in Mesa, Arizona. As a therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering trauma-informed care to enhance the lives of our clients impacted by various traumatic experiences.

Work Environment

This position offers a unique remote work setting, delivering therapy from a location that suits your preference while also engaging with an established outpatient office. You will have the support of an interconnected team of professionals, including psychiatrists and fellow therapists, ensuring comprehensive care and collaboration for our patients. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine the best treatment approach tailored to individual needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, integrating aspects of resilience and coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, helping patients navigate acute distress.
• Guide patients and their families by educating them about trauma responses, the therapeutic process, and available resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in case consultations, team meetings, and staying abreast of the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with trauma survivors, including individuals coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. These clients may come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, requiring a tailored approach to meet their unique needs and facilitate their healing journeys. Your compassionate and empathetic nature will be essential in creating a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers clients to confront their experiences and work towards recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Skilled in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, providing necessary support to patients during crises.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset that values teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in trauma therapy, particularly innovative and adaptable approaches to treatment. Familiarity with community resources and additional certifications in trauma-focused modalities will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer an extensive benefits package, including:
