Position Overview

New Hope Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time remote position. This role focuses on providing specialized mental health care for individuals who have experienced trauma, ensuring they receive the support they need to navigate their recovery journey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, meticulously evaluating patients' trauma histories to customize treatment strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting resilience, healing, and coping skills tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma and adopt healthy coping mechanisms.
• Regularly collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to healing.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to support clients effectively.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, emotional regulation strategies, and available resources to enhance support systems.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation to comply with ethical and legal standards, ensuring patient privacy at all times.
• Engage actively in case consultations and professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will work extensively with clients affected by various trauma-related challenges. This includes individuals with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders, who seek a safe space to process their experiences. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
• Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adopting a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic style.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering various trauma-focused interventions and therapies within a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
