Work Environment

As a remote telehealth provider, you will leverage advanced virtual tools to deliver therapy sessions to clients, making access to mental health resources convenient and efficient. Our practice employs state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and improve patient care. While the majority of your work will be conducted from your home office, you will remain fully connected with your team through regular online meetings and collaborative case consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, offering a safe space for clients to process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic treatment for clients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients have access to necessary resources.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, promoting understanding and coping mechanisms.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations, contributing ideas and insights that enhance the effectiveness of our trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves trauma survivors of varying backgrounds, including adults experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and related disorders. The therapist will engage with individuals who often require compassionate and adaptive approaches tailored to their unique experiences. Your expertise will directly facilitate their healing journey, positively influencing their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and active licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of experience post-licensure is required, showcasing direct involvement in trauma therapy and recovery.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a robust foundation in trauma-informed treatment methods.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and willingness to use digital tools for documentation and client meetings.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a warm, empathetic demeanor that enables effective rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with interventions such as EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Prior work in a telehealth setting and familiarity with remote therapy practices.
