Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gauge clients’ trauma histories and devise suitable treatment strategies.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect individual patient needs, promoting trauma recovery and overall resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, learn coping techniques, and foster emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care that addresses all facets of mental health.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective help.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
• Engage in supervisions, case consultations, and professional development activities to continuously improve trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on serving individuals who are navigating complex trauma and mental health challenges. Our patient population comprises individuals struggling with PTSD, anxiety disorders, and more. You will play an essential role in their journey toward recovery, using your expertise to address their unique struggles and support them in building resilience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, displaying empathy and a non-judgmental attitude in all interactions.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health counseling capacity.
• Proven experience and training in trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

Kelington Behavioral Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
