This full-time position, based remotely and linked to our Moreno Valley facility, focuses on providing specialized mental health services to individuals impacted by trauma. Work Environment

The role will be conducted remotely, enabling you to connect with patients through telehealth platforms and providing flexibility while maintaining a strong therapeutic presence. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.
• Design and execute individualized treatment plans focused on promoting trauma recovery and resilience among patients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to provide an avenue for patients to process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall well-being.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and various healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Respond to trauma-related emergencies by providing crisis intervention and immediate support as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available support resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care.
• Keep abreast of recent research and innovations in trauma therapy to enhance clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing mental health services primarily to adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. Our patient population often includes individuals dealing with PTSD, complex trauma histories, interpersonal issues, and associated mental health challenges. Emphasizing a trauma-informed perspective, your work will not only address symptoms but also foster resilience and recovery in a sensitive and supportive manner.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Holds current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies are crucial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications is essential for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, candidates with extensive experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be given preference. Prior engagement with collaborative treatment teams and successful patient outcomes are desirable indicators of fit for our practice model.

Compensation and Benefits
