Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions to address diverse mental health concerns, tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure cohesive care for your clients, including attending virtual team meetings to discuss treatment plans and progress.
• Provide referrals and resources as necessary, acting as a key resource for clients seeking additional support or specialized services.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve client outcomes, including cognitive-behavioral strategies and other modalities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation of client progress and treatment notes, adhering to record-keeping procedures related to beneficiaries’ charts.
• Optionally, provide couples and family therapy sessions, allowing for a more holistic approach to individual mental health care.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. Your expertise will serve a multifaceted population, providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, and families, ensuring that each client feels understood, respected, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral science field, confirming your advanced training in mental health practices.
• Active licensure in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing direct mental health counseling services.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize clinical skills working with individuals, families, and groups effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and effective intervention techniques.
• Strong organizational skills that reflect your ability to manage multiple cases and maintain compliance with record-keeping standards.
• Valid driver’s license and trustworthiness in maintaining legal transportation requirements for client outreach, if needed.

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of direct experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a community health or clinic setting.
• Experience using teletherapy platforms and online treatment tools.
• Knowledge and experience with culturally competent approaches to therapy.
• Skills in crisis intervention and risk assessment.
