Work Environment

This position will take place onsite in our outpatient office, where therapists work together in a collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and develop targeted treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, assessing their physical abilities and limitations.
• Implement effective treatment modalities aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing or limiting permanent disabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to address comprehensive patient care and establish goals for rehabilitation.
• Document each session thoroughly within the electronic medical records system, ensuring accurate record-keeping that reflects treatment outcomes and facilitates appropriate billing.
• Conduct screenings for various conditions such as lymphedema and fall risk assessments, providing timely recommendations for further intervention when necessary.
• Contribute to departmental education initiatives, which may include leading workshops, participating in research activities, and supervising students or interns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will primarily serve an adult patient demographic with varying physical limitations due to injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. You will also have the opportunity to work with pediatric patients, providing you with a diverse range of therapeutic experiences. Your work will significantly impact patients' recovery journeys, enabling them to regain independence in their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Florida Physical Therapy License.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in either an acute care hospital or outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to comfortably engage with pediatric patient populations.
• Familiarity with current hospital practices and rehabilitation methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in working within a multidisciplinary team or those who have contributed to academic research and presentations will be favored. Familiarity with the latest therapeutic technologies and methodologies is also highly regarded.

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
