Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, and adjust these plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Utilize independent clinical decision-making skills to deliver high-quality care and ensure patient safety at all times.
• Implement and monitor therapy programs that adhere to the department's goals, objectives, and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and health care team members to coordinate care and address any concerns regarding patient progress.
• Demonstrate proficiency in key competency areas such as patient rights, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

• Utilize Microsoft Office applications for documentation, scheduling, and correspondence, ensuring all patient records are complete and accurate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on individuals seeking recovery from orthopedic issues, with a strong emphasis on outpatient orthopedic and spinal rehabilitation. Our diverse patient population ranges from active adults to elderly clients, each requiring specialized care strategies that address their unique physical limitations and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; candidates holding a Master of Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• Current, active authorization to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida is mandatory. Candidates must maintain licensure throughout their employment.
• Certification in CPR is required prior to starting and must remain current during the duration of employment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is essential. Experience specifically working with spinal cases is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and evidence-based practice methodologies will be an advantage.
