Work Environment

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance while serving patients. Our core working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a structured yet adaptable schedule. This position emphasizes collaboration and communication among team members, utilizing telehealth technologies to provide efficient and effective therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and compassionate assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and impact of their mood disorder symptoms.
• Work collaboratively with patients to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals and psychiatric needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to each client’s condition.
• Engage in proactive support by educating clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring all aspects of the client’s mental health are addressed.
• Stay informed on the latest research in mood disorder treatments to develop and optimize therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client assessments, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and best practices in mental health care.
• Act as a passionate advocate for clients, promoting the destigmatization of mood disorders and enhancing community awareness of mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds and challenges. A key aspect of your work will involve tailoring your therapeutic approach to respect and respond to the individual experiences of each patient, ensuring a sensitive and effective treatment experience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT.
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists.
• Proven history of achieving positive outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication abilities with a strong aptitude for establishing rapport with a diverse range of clients and families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health clinic setting is preferred, but not required.
• Background in teletherapy or remote counseling methods is a plus.
• Engagement in professional organizations related to mental health could enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
