Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents, utilizing age-appropriate evaluation methods.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for every patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support in mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources available to them.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood to late adolescence, who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health issues. You will work closely with patients facing anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and other challenges, ensuring that care is not only effective but also tailored to each individual’s needs. By forming trusting relationships with young patients and their families, you will help foster growth and resilience in their journeys toward mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with evidence-based treatment practices.

• Delivering individual and family therapy to young clients, with a focus on creating a supportive and nurturing therapeutic space.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that reflect a child-centered and compassionate approach.

• Ability to establish rapport and trust with patients and their families, adapting communication styles to suit their needs.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting with a focus on children and adolescents is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, reflecting the experience and expertise you bring to the team.
