Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience while still delivering high-quality mental health services. Our team operates primarily during traditional office hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' trauma histories and design tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and strengthening resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process traumatic experiences, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during traumatic emergencies, ensuring that patients have immediate access to therapeutic resources.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resource availability to empower them throughout the treatment process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, guaranteeing the highest standards of care.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to our commitment to ongoing professional development in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be working with individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Patients may include veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals dealing with the effects of chronic trauma, all of whom deserve compassionate, effective mental health support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience applying trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR and TF-CBT.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to maintain calmness and clarity in high-stress situations.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
