Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the individual challenges faced by children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health needs.

• Provide dynamic, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy, tailored to young clients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with skills and strategies to foster a nurturing home environment.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to align treatment methods and improve patient outcomes.

• Conduct crisis intervention sessions as needed to support children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on various mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their therapeutic journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other legal guidelines, ensuring that patient records are current and accessible.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents ranging from ages 5 to 18, addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. The therapist will engage with young clients and their families, ensuring that both the child and their support systems are involved in the therapeutic process, fostering a collaborative approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is mandatory.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Prior experience in providing individual and family therapy focused on young clients.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, child-centered approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
