Key Responsibilities

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, your responsibilities include:

• Directing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients aiming to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore function.
• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess each client's level of function using diagnostic tests focused on muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities.
• Administering manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities tailored to each patient's progress.
• Overseeing and mentoring physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective delivery of prescribed therapies as per care plans.
• Regularly communicating with both clients and multidisciplinary team members regarding treatment effectiveness and necessary adjustments.
• Documenting patient progress comprehensively for clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team conferences to refine and update treatment plans based on collective insights.
• Educating clients and their families on their therapy programs, utilization of assistive devices, and strategies to enhance independence.
• Adhering to clinical policies and procedures, including timely submission of documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist will involve working with a diverse patient population, primarily in an outpatient setting. This includes developing treatment plans for individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, rehabilitating sports injuries, and enhancing mobility in elderly clients. Your expertise will significantly influence patients' recovery journeys, promoting active participation in their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate degree (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid physical therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to connect with patients and families.

Preferred Experience
